Refund Policy

Gathering Currents is committed to providing accessible, high-quality workshops, trainings, and events. This policy explains our refund, cancellation, and ticket-transfer policies for paid programs, asynchronous workshops, trainings, and other events, as well as donations made to Gathering Currents.

Workshops, Trainings, and Events

Registration fees for Gathering Currents, Training Active Bystanders, and Just4Everyone Athletics workshops, trainings, asynchronous courses, and other paid events are non-refundable once registration is complete. For private events, cancellations will be charged the applicable cancellation or no-show fees as outlined in the signed contract or proposal.

We understand that circumstances may change. When possible, we offer a ticket-transfer option as described below.

Ticket Transfers

Participants may transfer their registration to another Gathering Currents workshop, training, or event of the same value, provided the request is received at least 48 hours before the originally scheduled training or event. This transfer must be made by the person who originally registered, or by an authorized representative, and must be approved and processed by Gathering Currents before the original event begins.

If the replacement program has a higher registration fee, the participant may pay the difference where applicable. If the replacement program has a lower registration fee, Gathering Currents will not provide a refund for the difference.

Transfer requests made less than 48 hours before a training or event cannot be accommodated.

Cancellations by Gathering Currents

Gathering Currents reserves the right to cancel, postpone, reschedule, or substantially modify a workshop, training, or event when circumstances require it.

If Gathering Currents cancels an event, participants will be notified and may choose one of the following options, as applicable:

Transfer their registration to the rescheduled event
Transfer their registration to another Gathering Currents program of the same value
Recieve a refund of the registration fee

If an event is postponed or substantially changed, Gathering Currents will communicate available options to registered participants.

Donations

Donations to Gathering Currents are contributions made to support our mission and programs and are generally non-refundable.

If you believe a donation was made in error, was duplicated, or was processed without your organization, please contact us as soon as possible at director@gatheringcurrents.org

We will review the circumstances and determine whether a correction or refund is appropriate.

Gathering Currents does not treat payment for services as charitable donations merely because the organization is a nonprofit. Registration fees and charitable contributions are handled separately.

Payment Processing Errors

If you believe you have been charged incorrectly, charged more than once, or experienced another payment-processing error, please contact us promptly with the relevant transaction information.

We will investigate the issue and, when appropriate, correct the transaction.

We will review requests individually and in accordance with this policy and applicable Massachusetts law.
